well, got called into the managers office and he said, 'Im going to terminate your emploment'. Apparently 'it wasn't working for him'.
Got one weeks notice and asked to leave asap, and will be paid all the money im owed. Doesnt really help though, seeing as i have £2000 going out my bank account on the 20th to the bodyshop, and need a load of weekends off coming up soon due to shows etc. Really could do with finding myself a Monday-Friday 9-5 job, like there's one of them in car sales.
I'm a little annoyed to say the least!
Thank-you for listening,
Corb. x

Just go to an agency - even if you dont like it, at least you'll have a temporary solution and i dont doubt that you would probably have something by the end of the day

Sorry to hear that hun
If you need to make some money for a bit then do as Tiger said and go to a job centre when you can. it'd be a temporary solution while you find a job you actually want

Well, weve had words a couple of times, cos basically, he doesnt seem to give an arse about anything, just really laid back. I dont fully understand what he means by 'not working for him' but he's made his descision. The least I would've expected would be for the Managing Director to come up and show his face. So I'm going over there in a bit to see him at our other branch, then go job hunting, just updating my CV now.
I almost pulled the door through the wall when i walked out his office, I had to vent my anger somewhere, cos it took everything within my will power to not jump across the desk and hit him with something very solid and very heavy.
Aww well, things move on I suppose, I'm off to get my CV checked over then print it out and go get me another, better paid, job by 5pm today

I would consider action 'it wasn't working for him' is not a valid reason. were you doing your job properly. if so take it further

if he gave you no written warnings prior then its unfair dismissal, the only reason he could sack you is gross negligence, and the reason he gave you isnt gross negligence

Morris Forshaw Hyundai, was there 6months, hadnt hit targets, but theres other people there doing worse than me, and the targets are a bit unreasonable imo for a 'trainee'. I asked my dad where I stand, and his response was, 'well, you dont really!' . I was thinking unfair dismissal, as they've already got someone lined up to sit at my desk.
