to rip a dvd it'll take about 45 mins to convert divx to dvd vob files will take about 6-8 hours

Basicly i wanted to put a comedy movie thats like 734meg (too big for a CD-r) onto a DVD to play in my dvd player. Its a .avi file. Any advice? i have nero and thats it

Nero - takes 2hrs on my PC to convert but works 60% the time other times fails bout 40% way through

you cant just drag mpg and avis into a normal nero session it will be expecting vob files, the thing you need to use is called nero vision express, only prob is if the film you have downloaded is in ntsc format norm 29 frames a sec trying to convert it to pal 25 frames a sec you will see jumping in high motion clips
