Ive been thinking of 19s or 20s. But i would want chromes and they are rather expensive I had to do no arch work on the fron of my car and i am lowered 40mm, still have the plastic arch lining in.

diameter of a 17 inch rim with 40 profile tyre is still 20mm less than an 18 inch rim with 35 profile rubber plus you'll need a 7 inch wide 18"rim. most rims in corsa fitment are 7.5 inch rims which make a lot of difference.

sorry, 10 mm less plus the inch gained. about 35mm altogether wider on the 18"alloy

its all down to the width
a 205/40/17 will be the same diameter as a 205/35/18
although, getting a 205/35/18 may prove a little hard, its a bit of a peculiar size
put 15s on and be done with it... much better
