jesus there strict,
mine got through with
left hand drive headlights
drivers seat subframe broken
rear seat belts in when there isnt the female part!
Rear number plate lights dont shine just on the plate!
Mine passed LOL
Kepp the car fix the little problems for £10 at the most, headlights put some washers under the top where it bolts down

i just sold a set of standard front lights
get a 2nd hand fluid bottle and pop rivet a bracket onto the headlight and drill a hole for the 10mm self taper bolt, i had to do this on old corsa as the top mount broke,
if your on about the bottom mounts then im sure u can buy them from vaux, scrapy

the tester said if i cleaned up the manky oil round the tank he'd pass it, so i did, and he still failed it, and i told him i normally have LHD lights on the front, and he said whack them in and stick some tape on them so the beam pattern is flat, and doesnt kick up either side
but to be honest, i only wanted the certificate so i could drive it a few more weeks til i sort my new car out, and i was gonna keep it as a project, but i cant be arsed now

You're an idiot - you won't sell.
PAS tank and headlamps can be yours for around £40 from a scrap yard.
Give Eddie at call @ VPSC.

They'll send them to you.
Get your sisters husbands brother in law to drive you in his Astra/Vectra.
