Here's a gripe i have at the minute.
Its really getting on my tits the amount of people that just flick their dock ends out of the window when they've finished. You get ash trays in your cars, use the fuckers. The roadsides up and down the country are becoming a discrace with the amount of these I see being carelessly discarded. Do the decent thing and do your bit for the future generations, your kids and their kids too.
Lets have a bit of decency and respect.
Ben.

Many people believe that cigarette filters are biodegradable and made of cotton. They are made of cellulose acetate, which takes 12 years to biodegrade

But why shouldnt they? Someone has to clean them up? People have been fined before - people should take responsibility for their actions.

u dont put em in ur ashtray, because u have to pay attention while putting a cig out, so you dont burn yourself. Also, it can melt the plastic, and it makes the car stink, out the window is much easier

ashtrays are made of tough stuff, so there never going to melt easierly and im sure it aint that hard to put a cancer stick out, considering people text, read maps, talk on the phone whilst driving
As for making the car stink, well its their choice for smoking - dont want car to stink dont smoke
what fecks me off worse is smokers that go on about drugs and crackheads etc, yet dont understand that there addicted to a drug as well

Cigarette Butts.
120 tonnes of cigarette litter are dropped in the UK every day.
In the UK, cigarette butts account for around 40 % of litter, in the rest of the World, they account for around 50 percent of all litter.
A cigarette butt contains up to 4,000 chemicals including Hydrogen, cyanide and arsenic.
Cigarette filters are made of plastic, cellulose acetate which can take up to 12 years to degrade.
It takes one second to drop a cigarette butt. If it took the same time to pick it up again, it would take one person (working eight hours a day) nearly 20 years to collect the estimated 200 million cigarette buts that are thrown away in the UK each day.
An estimated 4.5 trillion butts are littered worldwide every year.
Carelessly discarded cigarette butts are a serious fire risk.
Cigarette butts are flushed into waterways in huge quantities and are harmful to birds and marine life.
“Cigarette butts” in the environment is a litter issue -- not a smoking issue.
One cigarette butt can contaminate up to 8 litres of water.
Within an hour, toxic chemicals leaking from discarded cigarette butts present a biohazard at concentrations of about one butt per two gallons of water.

Um because smokers don't rob people/houses in order to buy their next cigarette?
Next you'll be having a go at people for wanting a coffee to wake them up in the morning, or people who are just dying for a drink (and they're the ones who leave fast food wrappings and throw-up/piss all over the streets)...

I do it.
Don't use ashtray as don't want to dirty it............
I don't ping it out when a car is close up behind me as I wouldn't like a fag end hitting my car.
Think you need to worry about all the pollutents coming out your car than a few fag ends
