Got two bluetooth dongles the other day, one wouldn't send pics/music from the pc to the phone but it would recieve...
got another one and it sends and recieves fine, used that software with the other bluetooth dongle and it sent and recieved fine,
Now my sisters got her Motorola V547 and it had a watershed on it bluetooth basically the fucking thing only worked at night
now her phones working fine, but the dongle is not sending to my Ngage QD or my dads D500 tried pairing all the devices again, i've reinstalled all the software on my computer but sweet fuck all is happening it tells me that the Bluetooth device or computer can not recognise the file even Jpegs or MP3's we have been sending to our fphones until my sisters phone got in on the act!!
Anyone got any ideas?? by the way ones a belkin bluetooth and the other is a WIDCOMM if that makes a difference
*just to add* This has also fucked up me sharing files with my dad and sister, i cant send them anything via bluetooth and they cant send me fuckall and i havent changed any settings on my phone This is really gettin on my wick!

un install it all, and even better system restore youe pC to before it was done.
install software first, dont insert dongel.
make sure your phone viablity is turned on. and dont use sending software, just go to file right click > select sendto > bluetooth > select phone

Greg reinstalled it and system restored back a few days, tried the file right click (which i was doign before anyways aswell as the other way) and it just shit itself again

I think I can help you al with regards to getting files from your phone to the PC
You don't send things to the PC you have to extract them using the PC.
On mine it lists the handsets that are paired.
Will look like this:

Double click that
Because my phone uses a memory card I have 2 options here

Double click whichever you need
Then you should get to this screen

Double click which ever you need & this will come up for afew seconds

Then once all your files have loaded up right click them & then send to "bluetooth exchange folder"

aye, i brought a belkin jobby from pc world, fecking rip off at 30 quid, but it does work pretty well - its isnt plug and play etc, but after about a minute it works fine - can send and recieve files to 6600 phone no probs under nokia's own suite program (that came with the phone).
So i would check to see if there software that came with your phone or if theres any on the phones website. All it means is that you have to set up a "dummy" serial connection (thinks its a serial connection, but works via bluetooth)...
However, it probably is the dongles mate - might be worth taking them back and going for a belkin as they DO seem to work alright

Might have been better getting a MMC card reader for it. Only a tenner.
Also if you were wanting to transfer a big file you may have problems as on the symbian phones all files that are recieved go into the messages folder. Even though there is space on the memory card it might fill you msg inbox & not let you send all of the file

true, i should have bought a card reader, but hey ho ive got the dongle.
however, i use the nokia suite that came with the phone and i can select where i want to place the files (apart from the phones Z drive, which is locked) - but yes, if someone else is bluetoothing something to me, then it goes into the message inbox which is abit cack, especially as i canne delete one that came with the phone
