I dunno mate. I've only just started going. Last night was my second visit. I used to go before and i went a bit mad and i ached like crazy.

But this time i'm going to take it steady and get into going all the time.

I guess you have pulled something and should rest it before going again otherwise i think it would hurt more.

But i know bugger all and i'm sure Corsa5dr and NovaGTE will take the piss out of me cos i've only just started going to the gym with them.

Maybe your lifting too heavy??? Dont push yourself to move up to heavier weights - try ones your more comfortable with & more reps and see how you get on.

if its isolated pain on one side it must be a strain, as if your lifting (presumably) your pushing equally, or almost equally with both arms meaning you should have the same pain on both sides.

I remember once being off injured for a long long time and hadnt done weights in longer, went to the gym between classes and tried doing my old weights routine, and couldnt lift my arm to write notes in the class in the afternoon!

It should help a lot. I used to try and bench press when my left arm was a lot weaker and the bar would be going up and down at an angle.

You've tore down your muscle fibres, now you need to feed them so they can repair and grow... protein is what u need.
This is why people train at the gym for years and get no where.

what i was told
