Well just got back from the scene of my dads accident. Basically he's fallen asleep at the wheel and has gone across to the wrong side of the road, bounced of the curb which has pushed it back on right side into a wall and back onto the wrong side of the road. It was a Focus with the optional side airbags, which have deployed and we think thats whats saved him from serious neck injury, because hes hit a solid wall an angle which would have jolted his neck. Pretty bad too because if he'd have been going fast enough to mount curb he'd have gone through the wall and down a mega steep embankment, probably not coming out the other side alive. Plus road was quite quiet so nothing coming head on. I think the cars a write off, all n/s scraped to fuck, n/s fronts smashed up, n/s alloys fucked off under car taking driveshaft, lower arm and suspension with it, and 3 of 4 airbags have deployed, passenger one smashing screen. What you reckon, its a 2001 X 1.8 Zetec Estate.

Nah he knows he's stupid. Last week he feel asleep 4 times on way home. The only good thing is that at least its happened now if u see wat i mean. It was on a quiet road with nothing coming head on doing maybe 40mph. Obviously better than 85mph on the motorway into the barrier
If you get me?

Hes spoke to the insurance and told them a dog ran out so he swerved, because theres no marks on the opposite curb, because the tyre hit it not the alloy

Some reason police didnt ask any questions other than have u been drinking? They said what happened and he said i dont know and they left it at that? THEN they had a go at me for having a brake light out and started giving me the speal of 'its a £30 fine if you dont fix it....'

Fucking Pigs I really dislike them Got pulled on Friday night on the motorway, yes on the motorway. Sat me in the back of there car on the hard shoulder for ages wanting details of why i was driving a C3 registered to a women. Tried to do me for driving at an average of 72MPH but told the guy the speedo was at 70 and must be slightly out. I was shitting it thinking we where gonna get hit at 70 - 80 MPH.

i wouldnt be so quick to judge his dad. just because he falls asleep at the wheel, doesnt mean he can help it. its not like he WANTS to die. maybe he has a long shift, and does lots of motorway miles? my uncles brother in law had very long shifts, (9am-9pm) but he lived so far away, so he ended up leaving at 6-7am, and getting back early morning.
he was asleep at the wheel, and went head first into a lampost. he had major injuries, was in a coma when he got to hospital, lost alot of blood, and had blood/or some sort of liquid in his lungs, and... well to cut a long story short, he died in hospital. it wasnt his fault, he couldnt take the pressure of the job, but needed it to support his kid. (but thats another story)
and btw, he didnt kill anyone else in the accident, if thats what you was worried about
