What's the difference with what he's doing and the people that do 2.0 conversions and keep the car registered as 1.2 and god knows what else.

I spoke to someone in the DVLA a while back before i bought my 2ltr and they told me as long as it was insured as a 2ltr or whatever engine you got in there it dont really mater whats on the log book.

So Mav's insurance company doesn't care, the DVLA doesn't care... so what the hell are we all doing by declaring mods?

My Paxo was insured as a 1.4 but was a 1.1 Tried telling the insurance loads of times but they insisted it was a 1.4.

whats the point in declaring mods? By the time you've crashed into some one you've got the whole time in the world to strip the car (only works if its a non serious accident, where they dont bring the flat bed pick up truck out)

Because if you injure someone or cause alot of damage and your insurance catches you - your fucked!!!!!! Simple as that Also when such like happens, and it does from time to time.......it helps push the rest of our premiums up!!! If I know someone was driving a car they shouldnt I wouldnt think twice about reporting them either

So i buy a cheap second hand air filter for a tenner, i have to declare that which puts my premium up a hundred quid :/ when i could easily take it off
