ok i blew my head gasket the other day up in scotland , i signed up for the aa the previous day as it takes 24hours to come into play. i took it out as i were unsure if the pug would get me there and back.

so at 5.30pm the following day 29.5hours after signing up , i call them and the guy who come out were a tosser. he said "its fucked" i were like yeh i guessed that ffs

so he says "what do you want me to do" i say "tow me to bradford" his face dropped , then he said he wont take me due to the "cooling off" period (24 hours) and said my car broke down in the 24hours.

so in the end i had to get my dad to tow me all the way back.

but i think this takes the piss

where do i stand . legally? i had my bird in the car as a witness too

phone them up and complain that if it was due to the "cooling off" period then he shouldnt have come out either
So threaten them to cancel it all and that you want your money back etc for lack of service that your were promised after the 24hrs (which you state it was - make sure you have some sort of proof of this) - and see what there willing to do about it

At worst, just get it cancel and go with the RAC or something mate My folks changed after being with them for the last 6years (i think its even longer than that) as the AA prices were becoming a rip, and now we're all covered by RAC which are alot cheaper
However, we never had any problems, although we used them about once every 2 years or something

I don't like the AA..

After my 'accident' last week in the snow where i slid and hit a kerb, they wanted to charge me £105 to recover my vehicle back home from my place of work (15-16 miles). I have Roadside and Relay cover, but because it was accident damage rather than breakdown damage they wouldn't come out for free. Bastards..

seriously mate, before people start knocking at your door to take you out, go find another forum, like cbeebies or something, where you can chat to fellow people with less intelligence than a non-born child
