What do people think of these, the 2.0 16v Red Tops on a J/K/L reg? Ive just got a quote for when i turn 21 and its £715 FC, which is £40 less than on my VTR! Im thinkin of flogging the Saxo and cuttin my losses, what sort of money am i looking at for an alright one? Im a mechanic so dont need to pay top dollar for one.
Cheers

Cant see it being much slower than your golf babe, less power but quite a big weight advantage.

your looking at 930kg i think for the saxo.
I suspect the golf could be up to 1200kg?

ok well we are looking at weight difference of 200-250kg, which is a fcuk load.
98bhp saxo will probably have 100lb/ft, my money is on the saxo in a race, both drivers being equal.

Mk3 GSI's are very nice, standard suspension is pretty pap but get something good and it handles really well. I've got Koni adjustables and it handles like its on rails.
For sale soon tho, time to move to Yank
