These renderings are amazing...
I use 3d Studio VIZ at my work, but my renderings have nothing to do with those above...
Here are some examples of projects that I have done...

Yeh it's not a easy program to use and you won't be creating masterpeices like the top 3 in a long time. Much harder than 'photoshopping' things.

I've studied interior design and I have master diploma in industrial design
In the top 3 renderings, some other programs are used too (such as Maya etc), u can't create renderings of this quality and with these details only using 3D studio.

Was gonna say i've seen them plugs before, then i realised it was in the other thread. Doh

Smartarse

This module is actually making me wanna go to uni again, finally. I caught up 5 weeks worth of tutorials for this in 2 hours yesterday

Only thing is, my computer is shit, think the processor is fucked, so i can't render anything detailed as the bastard program just crashes

How do you know the photos you take are real? The images you see are simply electrical messages fed into your brain by the Matrix... the pic of the jag could be just as real as you believe your pictures to be...

Yeah, have got Maya, not played with it yet tho - my mates shown me some bits and pieces, sum of our collective efforts was a hairy sphere

Usually use Alias to construct wireframes, then export IGES to Max for rendering.
