I think there were 2 different engines in those, the 130bhp and a 115bhp.

Yes, Very shocking use of the GTi badge. Dont know why they brought it out, should have just continued with the RS2000. Maybe they gave in to insurance companies?

(pre '95) xr3i has 130bhp, si has 115bhp and the standard 1.8 16v has only 105bhp.
i've driven a '98 1.8 16v ghia, similar performance to astra 2.0 8v.
crap car tho!

after driving one id say they were flat as a fart and nothing remotely impressive for the bhp,.....
