Was round my mates house and heard a loud bang from outside. Looked out the window and my wing mirror looked wrong(car was some distance away). Went and had a look, and someone had hit it. Luckily one of the neighbours saw it happen and got the reg. of the black 206 that hit it. Im none too happy about it! Grrrrr. Reported it to the police etc. and now have to go down there with my insurance, MOT and driving licence and the witness details. All hassle i could've happily done without.

You've got the reg mate so dont worry, it could have been worse, seeing as its a black car they could have left a nice big dent or sctarch all down the side of ut car

what do you need to take your documents down for? you havent had a producer for them they dont need to see it they should only need to see the insurance cert. also they should come to you if you phoned them and let them know

fookin dickheads! as long as you got their reg you'll be fine ay mate if you don't get nowhere with the police method give us a call, i may know a guy with some software which shows the registered keeper of the vehicle and address, we'll go round n kick em in the cnut cos its bound to be a woman!!!!!!!

they need your insurance documents as it was parked on a public road. Parking on a public road without insurance is illegal and can get you muchos points and a fine.

Well, been down the Cop Shop. Sorted giving them all my details etc.etc. Then went for a drive, found the car, after a bit of a discussion, the 3rd party is going to pay for the damage, new mirror(pair) and spraying base plate and mirror.

Those 206s are made solid, prob just took a little bit of paint off his mirror and pushed it in
At least s/he only damaged the mirror, body work costs a bomb. I would have just left it myself as messing with insurance messes with your NCB. However, these bastards need catching so good on you for chasing it up!!!
