signal strength is maximum/excellent, according to digi-box upstairs. never lose any packets on long downloads either. Connects first time every time. Average speed is normally around 300kb/sec. but like said before i can get as high as 1mb. lol, my counterstrike:source ping rates are between 10-15.

600kB/s is fastest ive had on bit torrent, fastest download ive ever done was 3210kB/s (just over 25mbps line)
I just had to change the default max connections, and the ports that torrentstorm uses, and now it works Too many downloads at one time and they all stop, you get kicked off all non essential ports for 30 mins, but restart again after that. Usually have no probs though doing one at a time

how do you do that? I'm guessing your uni hasn't blocked ports on its connection...

its not as strict as some, pretty good here Changed default max connections to 12 instead of 40, and changed the ports to the same ones DC++ uses (even though that doesnt work here! )We used to have internal DC++ hub here but admin shut it down after bout 2 months when some people had crossed the 7tb transfer limit!

my torrent settings are:
110kbs global upload speed
5 default upload slots per torrent
80 maximum number of connection per torrent
400 maximum no of connections globally.
i have freed up the azureus port, and allowwed all transfers in my firewall. i have also updated my java version.
is there anything else i can do?
how should i have the settings ive posted above?
