I feel it the other way around on mine. Slightly quicker response with the K+N induction kit rather than the standard box.

i know, i do want one, but still unsure about it, am gonna keep driving car tho, as i don't see me being able to sell it for much, and has cost me endless amounts of money, nearing £9-10k including buying the thing

will see when engine dies, if i get a 2.0 or just get a new car

am getting bored of the corsa too, just seems like a kids car to me, think i grown out of it

I know what you mean mate, but if u had a 2ltr and a few subtle mods to compliment then engine the fun would be put back in to driving a corsa believe me, Ditch's astra is great fun and thats a bigger car!

my plan is:

Get a new car, spend up to £7-8k and another £1500 on insurance.

than keep corsa, get conversion done, leave bodywork as it is, and use it to have fun in.

BUT that all depends on a pay rise that i expect soon.

so will keep it until i hear about payrise or it die's on me (then make a decision)

7-8k with get you a luuuuurvly S14a young Jimothy

and your an old grandad (and you Evisu!), so insurance shouldnt be any more than £1500??

Keep the corsa till it dies by all means, but dont buy a new car AND put an XE in the corsa?? makes no sense to me!! I know you just wana thrash it but might as well have the corsa as a run about with good mpg, cheap tax. etc.
