jus raced a Vauxhall Cav Turbo jus now on my way home from my m8s house,
started off with him just ahead from the lights and then in 2nd he really started pulling away, by the time i got to 3rd gear we had hit are 1st round about taking the 1st exit, so i kept it in 3rd and carryed on reving it hard through it, while he was braking (catched up with him, kissing his bumper), then carryed on racing down this 2 lane road with abit of twisties (not sharp ones)
neck and neck all the way down this road on my 4th gear and started slowing down for the 2nd big round about, taking it easy through it and i whinded down my window to say Hi.
He kept saying Turbo turbo (while the car was goin pishhh pishh). Stoped at a set of traffic lights and had a lil chat, told him what engine size i had and he got quite amazed at it, and burned off. by tat time i coulnt be asked to chase.

never knew what capabilities my lil sport could do with abit of guts.
what can i do to speed up my car?

to speed up your car just buy a mantzel box, fast road cams, full exhaust system, induction kit, uni chip (get it mapped) and get your cylinder head port and polished.

I suspect when he "burned off" he was using the car's real power, and just not trying before hand.

Yeah right I very much doubt a 1.4 or 1.6 would be anywhere near a cav Turb in a race LOL

They are quick cars.

As the Cav Turbo & Escort Cossie are about level on performance range, why dont you slay some cossies for us

You mite have kept up with him, however any 'real' driver in a car that produces 204bhp as standard wud have pi55ed on your 106bhp sport any day

well, that cheered me up a bit, after a crap day at work. And Dan.T, I would say that an escort cossie is considerably faster than a cav turbo, standard for standard. Not gonna argue or discuss, just telling ya.

And, Mr Ilford, I agree 100% with Vibs
