2 tests.....

30 in 3rd up to whatever (whatever was about 110, with a bit of traffic etc)
50 in 5th with clear road

Results....

3rd gear GT was pulling away
4th gear GT was pulling away
.
.
.
had to slow down for traffic.... then had a wee blat in 5th..... GT had it low down revs but corsa came back and des was having to lift off

50 in 5th.....

GT whooooooped some ass..... once the turbo spooled up

Des edged about 1 car length in fron then BOOM GT power, i pulled 10+ car length before it levelled off and he started gaining (aprox 120lph)

All on my test track (private), all speeds in lph, leptons per hour, ken

no vids..... as wee didnt have a support car this time with Sweet Home Alabama playing

surely not a 1.4 GT punto, they would get no where near a 2.0 corsa, i've raced one off the line to about 50mph and it only just pulled infront of my 1.4 sport.

Still...the GT has around 135bhp and sh*t loads of torque...your 1.4 will have 90 bhp...and no torque...it would rape your ass...

Trust me

If u took off at the same time the GT would rape your ass...even with Turbo lag...

However if u had a jump start u may have got the result you got...however u would have to jump start by quite a bit to have your result...

those figures are at peak bhp, ie when its running at full boost, you don't get that at 1500rpm off the line
