Ive bin thinkin about this for sum time now, i have a reliable full time job and would be able to afford the monthly repayments(i think:lol
I do not want to do this in order to have the best corsa in the world, jus 2 make my car tidy and make me want 2 drive it, also sum idiot reversed into my car, cracked the bumper and buckled 1 of my wheels, and maybe bent the axel at the rear.
The idea was to have a £2000 loan over 2 years. Buy a standard rear bumper, a set of wheels(deep dished), coilovers, euro arches and a rieger front, and this would finish my car off, but would take me months 2 save up the cash 2 pay it out right.
Good Idea or not???

Why not put the money you make from your free insurance in a bank account and in 2 years time you will have a nice bit of wadge to put on a new car instead of wasting it on fibreglass

Borrowing a small amount means you'll pay a lot in interest. Having said that, £80 pm is a good deal, you'll only pay back £1920?
I'd have said the figure will be nearer £100 for 24 repayments.
A better approach may be to lower it on springs alone for the time being, find a second hand rear bumper (loads about) and do the arches at a later date.

Personally I wouldnt do it as I have done this and i wish I had just waited and saved up for what I wanted as now I am tied into repaying the loan for a good few months yet and I now think I should of saved the money to go towards a newer car!

that is the worst idea ever....
Taking a loan to effectively de-value your car
Take a loan and buy a better car..... build up towards something you really want

^ Agreed - this is a money burning hobby, and borrowing money to burn and paying intrest to do it is crazy. I really wouldn't bother, as much as I love modifying cars if i'd done it all again i'd have just saved up and bought a proper sports car instead of trying to turn a Corsa into one...

exactly.
i spent a fortune on my corsa and got fuck all back, but i enjoyed it, shows, cruises, generally driving about...loved it, miss the wee car and dont care if i'm still payin for it, do what u wanna do, i reckon it'd look sweet for what you've planned, plus, u can always sell it and get something faster one day, its only money

well ive already started modifing it, ive lowered it jus on springs(shite handling as expected), smoothed the now smashed rear bumer, smoothed the boot, colour coded, tints and wheels. This is all i could afford 2 do after 7months of owning it, but a loan would allow me to finish it and enjoy it, plus all my m8s have modified ther cars wiv loans and dnt regret it, but they prob wudnt admit it if they did
