Im 19 and the cheapest quote i got on a 1.6 GSi was £1300 tpft, and im in a good postcode. (All other places quoted me £1600).
So i think its gonna be pretty hard to get a 2ltr FC for £1500... Isnt that like group 15? I think your looking at more like 1600 tpft... And thats if they'll even insure you, some companies wouldnt give me a quote on a GSi until i was 21 Let alone a 2ltr
Oh and i have no ncb either.

They both gave me a daft quote
So i went with a company called Service, gave me 1 years ncb as an indroductory offer, as i had been driving on my mum's policy

which car did the engine originally come from for you guys?
apparently the astra is a higher group insurance than the cav so it makes prems higher?

Adria F for me £810 F/C 20XE in not back area. 22, 4 yr NCB & clean.
Sticking my ol man on it bought it down for me. I think Adrian flux is one of the ONLY insurers out there now who will insure engine conversions now Liv Vic have chucked it in...

Yup spot-on with Mods. They need to know everything though. You either do things straight with them and give complete transappency or you may aswell drive around with no insurance. They want DETAILED descriptions of ALL mods, who fitted them, when etc... Took me a long time to list all mine but worth it for PROPER insurance.
