What's everyone think of Calibra Turbos? My mate has a 2.0 16V ( ecotec tho) and he loves it to bits.

I likes them

Prefere a Mk3 astra LET and there are a couple on mig for around the same price as the calibras

prefer the "cavalier" turbo, bit more arae too. Mate had a white one with 17s etc, looked nice, think he had quite a bit of grief with it though.

The Transfer boxes are not mush if you look after them.

but the cars are high maintinence - but with a little bit of tune you have a hell of a lot of car for the money.

Full heated leather
4wd
6 Speed
Mine had air con too.

Awesome car which upset a few people have to say.

i have a dtm turbo with a 50/50 split permenet 4x4 would'nt swap it for anything under 6k love it to bits!
need something like a corsa to run around in as its high maintanace
so we have a 1.4 sport

Why would a Mk3 Astra with the same engine be more fun?

Calibra - 4WD, fully independant front and rear suspension = great handling

Astra - FWD, rear sub frame set up = handling not so good and wheelspin

More fun in a Corsa

TBH if you do it right you can easily match the handling. And it just takes a degree of skill to lay the power down, but ultimatly (IMO) it is more rewarding. Wouldn't fancy a car that you just point it and go, it takes the edge off things.
