Would like something a bit quicker and funner to drive, was thinking of one of these 3, cant get anything too silly because of insurence, just wondered what peoples opinions were,or if anyone had any different suggestions? looking at spending around £2000-3000,cheers

The quicker car as standard is the GSi, although if you want good handling then the VTR is more solid.

You can tune a TD fairly easily, but that kind of defeats the object of owning a diesel if you ask me!

yeah agree with u on that last one, im tempted to go for another diesel cos they're so cheap to run, but i like the others, i want something totally standard, think it might be hard finding gsi like this?

If you want something standard and fairly reliable, look for a well maintained 1.6 corsa sport. Sound little cars

Tuning a diesel doesn't defeat the point of owning it.If you can get more power lower down, you don't need to rev as high so it's still perfectly economical.

The saxo's probably slightly ahead of the GSi all round but i'd certainly choose the GSi over the vtr cause they're alot rarer
