if u reseive an email from ebay sayin some 1 has been using ur account dont reply to it. it askes for your credit card details again this is a fraudster pulling a scam becareful

I get loads of crap off eBay and PayPal. Basically don't send any details to the sender or use any links within the e-mail.

If you get any dodgy e-mails the forward them on to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com. You get a standard e-mail back for each e-mail you send to them.

I had one too....Has all ebay logos etc..but i thought it was crap because ebay WILL NEVER email and ask for credit card details.

eBay and Paypal will never ask you for any personal details and certainly wont ask you for card details. The same way your bank wont.

well seeing as e bay don't use credit cards it's obvious its a scam.ebay use paypal for credit card stuff and why would you need to enter the same card to verify what they already know

You dont need to if you sign up with a mainstream e-mail address i.e not Hotmail, Yahoo etc. Might have changed since i signed up tho, it was 5 years ago

Buyer accounts are not required to enter credit card details unless they used a free web address addy ect instead of an ISP one.

Seller accounts require bank/credit card details to be entered to pay for ebay fees ect.

Did you get that e-mail on a Friday afternoon? There are loads of them going around at the moment that go out on Friday afternoons - because people are just finishing work for the weekend and don't bother to properly read the message because they wanna go got pissed Then they get scammed
