anyone ridden of got a CB cape wrath?

supposed to be pretty good bikes and 470 for dual disks they are great price. maybe a little tooo cheep. hmmmmm

i got one ages ago in bout '97 i rekon with full LX and RS Indy XC's, which wasnt 2 bad at the time. bit dated now like. but was a gud bike

yeah these are 04 models speck here.

they dont look too bad as far as hard tails and price ranges go.

check my bike in classified most parts are new wont 450-500 quid and its worth like 2000 pounds new

Yeh the rockhoppers are a good buy. If you can afford it try to get a stumpjumper. Ive got a stumpjumper which is a few years old now but its superb. The new ones are even better.

Specialised are pretty much all you'll need for most daily cycling - get a Hardrock for a good entry level bike.

I was looking at a CB Olympus as I was offered one with a good discount, but I spent the money on alcohol and dancing girls instead

ive always like treks gota nice one to juts ride normall and also a front and rear gas shocked orange frame which i need to sell cos i nerver use

hardrocks are very heavy... didnt buy one because of this... the rockerhoper was a much better bike

olympus look good too, basicly the same bike but with better rear mech and forks

bikes only worth 400 IMHO unless the frame is particularly light

Do you need disks - if you were to get a bike with V-Brakes on it you would have a better drivetrain and in particular - cranks. Also, no point going anyhwere near a bike with disks unless they are full hydraulic.

true cable disks need alot of bedding in. disks are easyer off road imo, however the new style V brakes are V strong. its hard to find a good bike with desent drive tain/ rear mech that doesnt have disks. as with the cape wrath, the disk brake version had better mech

am more than likey going to go for a non disk version, and put hydrolic brakes on

i agree and im a cycle mechanic disks are only good if there the good ones

i use side pull one and they are more than enuff

yes. discs are so much better than rim brakes agree on teh hydraulic requirement though
