Was my first test.Had an ex bobby examining me.He was a right asshole

Got 3 majors for silly things

1.going 43 in a 60.
2. stopping too slowly on an emergency break
3.not doing blind spot checks.

Did everything else down to a tea, apart from just barely cutting a corner( and i mean barely) minior for that, and a few other minors for extremely MINOR things.

Very disapointed in myself though.Nothing worse than having a car, but not being able to drive it

Plus thats £40 quid down the drain.

lol, the pig said to be afderwards "have you got a sister?" i answed yes. "if your sister ran out in front then we would of gone stright into her as you did not break fast enough" blah blah blah.Of course i would have broke harder, its just i did not wont to over do it on my test and lock the wheels.Wot a tit.Goverment must make loads of doh from this.

i really dnt understand the 43 in a 60 - unless he thought u were goin to slow for the road - which u probs were - Plus with your emergency brake u shud of anchored on harder - because your brakes wouldn't have locked due to ABS - ur driving instructor should have told you this as well

ain't getting at you m8 - but loads of ppl fail first time - i did and probs half ppl on here did - all good practice anyway for next time - u'll be reet just keep ringin up for cancellations u'll have a retest with a few weeks and thn u'll pass no prbs just bad luck this time tht's all

Not checking blind spots is a stupid thing to fail on - something you should be doing from the start of your test before you even pull away.

tell me about it, i felt num from it, just froze there in the drivers seat as he delivered his bull shit to my ears.I just got home and went bed trying not to think about it.Gutted.When approching the test centre, it reminded me of the time i was going into hospital for an operation.

The examanier also pointed out that he thought i was too nervous to drive and therefore pass.Wot a load of bull.I was nervous because of the test, going around on l plates in my own car i'm fine.Plus if i was that nervous, how did i manage to do a perfect 3 point turn and a parralel park. The system is bent, so is the ex copper

i know it was stupid, but i know for next time now.My instructor never even went through the emergency stop with me because " its very rare they test you on it" he should of told me anyway.I never got the impression an emergency stop had to be so quick. Now i know.

No, just moving off.He told me to stop twice and then get going.I think once he seen i never checked the first time, he asked me to do it again so he can mark it down as a major.Thats what i think anyway.

Thats just stupid then

The good thing is, is that I check always before I pull away because I'm a motorcycle rider and have that extra awarness.

ul fella, i passed first time 2 minors. As for the 43 in a 60, on my test i was in open limit 60 goign about 40 mph but it was really bad weather conditions on a country lane couldnt see far infront, so unless it was bad conditions you could of been goign to slow 4 the road. get it re-booked!

Sorry to hear it mate.

Test are hard things to deal with, its all a matter of opinion at the end of the day. Granted you may have made the mistakes but dont let it dishearten you, somedays are good others are bad.

Atleast when you go for your next test you know what to expect and should hopefully be more calm and prepared.

I was lucky enough to pass my test first time, with 9 minors. All of mine being on observation and a slight role on a HUUUUGEEE hill. Thing with my driving is, you wont catch me looking over my shoulder much but before I pull off I am looking at the mirrors for a good 5 seconds to get a feeling of whats around me, I have never had a problem nearly killing anyone pulling out but I understand why I got minors.

just learn from it mates is the best advice and good luck for your next one, sure you will be alright next time round, all trodden ground.

sorry you didn't pass, but to me, if you get any majors then you should fail.

43 in a 30, could cause people to get impatient and overtake, could risk an accident

stopping too slowly on an emergency brake, seems fair to me.

not doing blind spot checks. again dangerous, could swipe into someone, it gets me really annoyed when people dont check blindspots

just do it again, and make sure your ready.
