Must be insurance group no higher than about 11, I wouldn't really want a car older than 3/4 years too.

for 10k my choices have already been mentioned, Biza Cupra or a Clio 172

but for with lower insurace you could have yourself a mint 106GTI or an E36 318 Cab.

All depends on what you want from a car really dont it
