this bloke in one yesterday was edging away from lights so i thought well worth a go and they are not very quick r they raced twice away from lights and over 1/2 mile battered it ??

cars 1.6 16v thought must just be down to sheer weight of golfs compared to the corsa

To be honest from what i've seen the R32 GTi's don't seem to be all that rapid either - certainly not for the 22 odd grand they sell for.

£26k f*ck!!!!!!!! I new they were pricey but thats blatantly taking the piss. Granted they r nice lookin cars but if I was looking for somefin in that sort of market my money would be on a CTR and save the other £9-10k for insuring the bastard

Have to disagree about the 1.8T not being special.They are quick and can be made to go VERY quick for not much £££££££.

Only golf i'd have would be a mint Oak green MK2 16V.

in standard trim i think there terible, for a 1800cc tubocharged engine i think there very bad, also i ahve asked sales and the techs at work and there of the same opinion, after driving a standard one my corsa seems so much quciker

Well my Audi had the same engine and it is slightly detuned compared to the Golf and it was far from slow! Turbo picks up at only 2K FFS!

erm

let me seee

Audi is fuckin slow for what it is as standard. 1.8T putting out 150bhp?? the engine is more than capable of 500 bhp, so why so low output as standard. Jr is right, even chipped the audi is nothing special, it needs a new turbo for that.
