hi i looked around and as standard this car does 0 - 60 in around 10.5 - 11 seconds. what i was looking into was the potential of this car. what can the 0 - 60 be minimised to? is 8 seconds possible or is that too far stretched? any views would be welcome
cheers

the standard 0-60 in 10.5 secs is for the 1.4 16v and not the 1.2 16v. The 1.2 sxi reaches 60 in around 12-13 secs i think

To be honest not a lot without spending mega bucks Either put up with minimal power untill you can afford something else or nos it

Whats the point of spending £££ on engine mods on a 1.2 16v to gain 1-2 secs.
Sell it and spend the money on a £3000-5000
- 106 gti
- Corsa Gsi
- Corsa 1.8 sri
- etc etc which all do under 8secs

whats wrong with the 1.2? are u one of those that want to try and beat others at lights to show off?
even if u got down to 10 secs you wont beat anything you shud be proud of...all people start with slow cars and then go up, unless they have loads of money, if you wanna fast car with tuning potential go with a jap car when you save enought money

21 going on 22 who u trying to insure it with
I'm 20 with 0ncd and have a grp 14 car insured in my own name for £900
Plus if you mod it and don't tell the insurance you're goosed when it comes to claim time, there's just no point, spend a bit extra on insurance and get something slightly older and quicker such as a 106 gti imo.
