Na, turbos are'nt the best thing to run on these engines unless you want it off the road every other weekend.

Maybe ok if everything is set-up right, but I doubt it.

yep tis very impressive, and compression ratios, engine management, cooling and even the rod bolts all sound as though they have been sorted properly.

But fact is its a conversion and 9/10 go bang!!

The only sound turbo conversion I can think of is on the old 1600 16v SOHC honda engines, which respond very well to a bit of boost

Lukes 1.6 16v turbo running M-box is still running ok as far as i know.

They've modified the pistons to take teh lower CR, bolts, IC, injectors etc. All the neccesary parts.

TBH, if it is reliable, and does produce nearly 200bhp (wonder what PSi the turbo runs), then i'd say thats a pretty bloody good deal.

i know, if it was designed to take a turbocharger, it would have been made with one on it

it maybe the case that a few owners look after it and dont boost hard or rag the engine, but potential owners may blow it up

if its done well, and isn't owned / built by neds, i cannot see a problem with it, personally
turbo charging is an excellent way of increasing power in any engine.

it is a good way to gain power, if the engine internals are strong enough and work well in all areas. this will not happen on this engine
