both are around the £720 mark with lens in the mags. I'd probably go for the cannon to be honest. bro in law has the D10. also I think the D300 gets better reviews

canon is 750 rrp
nikon is 800
nikon is around 1k with lense
nikon wins hands down in most reviews so far.
d100 is better but d70 wins over it too

From experience of working in a camera shop and using both cameras, the image quality of the 300d is perfect, colours are bang on everytime, although nikon has better build quality, and i always have had nikon myself id go with the Canon mate, its sold very well hope that helps

i been aroond and aboot, i notice u are back soon good good, ull have to show me some pics u took over there
As ive said ive always gone with nikon, but i just cudnt fault the images the canon gave, which is what photography is all about, its very simple to use aswell, best thing to do icy is go get demos on both cameras somewhere, jessops usually are helpful if u take ure own memory card in they shud let u take some pics and go and look at them on ure pc or print some out

still id go in and have a hands on feel of both before u decide as its u who is gonna be using it not the review ppl remember, with a lot of our customers that we used to have it was very much a personal preference and most of the big photographers we had in, just ignored the mags and tested em in the shop, which they dont mind u doin as u spendin some dollar with them not just a cheap 100 quid camera, seriously go into a jessops they usually very helpful when they know u after a big camera

I just like the heavyweight feel to the Nikon, like youre getting more camera for the money and it helps stability too.
