could someone please help me out?
i heard somewhere that the 1.2 sxi corsa b has a different gearbox to the rest of the 1.2's. is this true and if so what is the difference and which gearabox's are they.....?????

is the sxi box jus a short shift one or is it a different gearbox.
i have a 1.2 16v club and wont hit any more than 99mph....... i had her at 108mph las year goin down a dual carraigeway but never been able to hit the 100mph mark.. shes quick in the take off ( well quick for a 1200) and ok thru all the first 4 gears but when it gets to 5th she just seems to die off... cuts out at 96 in 4th and when you put it in 5th it doesn't seem to go anywhere.
help please!!!!

SXI has a close ratio box
5th gear in other non sxi 1.2's and also 1.4 8v hi-torques are just over-run gears, so 4th is the top speed gear....

SXi has the F13CR gearbox. also the same gearbox as 1.4 16vs.

1.2 8v's are fitted with the F10 gearbox. i am lead to presume that they were all WR. 1.4 8v's were also fitted with the F10.

ooops, depending on model and age, the 1.4's came with an F10CR/WR or F13CR.Only the early GSi's and Sport 1.6's were fitted with the F15.

nice one.....
would changin mine to an sxi one make her lose some fo her take off..... its really nippy nippy up thru all 1st 4 gears but am worried that an sxi box wouldn't give me the same......
