i've been looking into this and found a few fitting guides for different cars and it doesn't look that difficult.

sorry the hi-jack -

but does n e 1 know how you get the power to the solenoid?

i've been reading a few online guides for differenct cars, and it says you earth it, which is easy and run the power though the fuse box to IGNITION LIVE?

How to i get to ignition live/ is there an easy place to get power for it?

and where is the switch placed in the circuit - on the powercable inbetween the solenoid and the live source?

one thing worries me about this option though - what if you hit the wiper while driving - will the boot fly open?

does the boot fly open when it does open, or just pops loose, so you can pull it open?

some alarms lock the central locking when the ignition is on and engine running, this should stop the boot opening if you accidentally press the rear wiper stalk forward.
