it's relatively easy to modify the flywheel and clutch to fit this small gbox to the bigblock. shafts than can be the same as standard. i wanted to make such a thing just to check and i wonder if some1 already done it.

btw, do you always use converting kits while putting 2.0 16v into b-corsa?

My 1.6 16v TB's conversion destroyed a f13 box. 2.0 16v would last 5 minutes.

i dont know what g/box is in my car but i seem to be killing it...........
shifting gear that fast was neva meant for my box he he

Mine crunches sometimes if i change into 4th and then back into 3rd in a short space of time.... makes me look a rightn idiot!

I thought the whole big block/small block box differences were actually due to the mounting edges on block/box. Obviously not.......

An F13 can apparently take 130lb/ft of torque, c20xe's have 144 standard....

so the f13 box would be a pile of bits in no time

my mate used to have a gsi
he er killed 3 gear boxs
in a year
not by racing or anything of course

Torque kills boxes not bhp. He wont have more than about 130lb/ft..... He uses a F15 as well no doubt......

Andy has around 147-149 lb/ft if I remember rightly.

Pretty sure he is using a f13 as well but with an f15 final ratio or something?

one of my m8s killed 1st gear with a c20seh in his nova but apart of that it was a cheap, easy to do solution. i wanted check it and know it for future, as some1 might be interested in such a conversion.

i'm getting the kit from m-tech, as i need bigger shafts for turbo - f13 + 2.0 conversion was supposed to be to a project to learn sth new.
