whose is that?

someone's from pug performance... I think it was one of the 130hp factory ones... Im convinced now there was variances in the power output on 1997-1999 VTS/GTI's .. and I hope im lucky to get a nice 130hp one by chance

ask dean (sxiboy1) cos he knows a bit about saxo engines and power etc, dont think the pug came with 130bhp as the increase had something to do with citroen fiddling with the exhaust etc

it DEFINENTLY happened to the 106... hence steve's 136bhp when it was roaded with just a PiperX on, I have a copy of his printout somewhere... also I've talked with guys from pug performance who have had 125hp as standard... one guy even got 145hp from just a janspeed catback system

ive read through a lot of threads on SSC about 130bhp vts/and gti's

the general consensus is that it was only the vts that had the power hike, but no one knows for deffo if even the vts got 130bhp really

citroen didnt tune or detune it... was the same with the 106.... was inconsistancies in the output due to the exahust system and manifold changes I believe

Thats right. To meet new stricter emmision regulations, Citroen (PSA infact) had to fiddle with the exhaust emmision system, which resulted in a loss of power, so the engine had to be fettled with elsewhere to regain it. A good few cars left the factory with the original emmisions stuff on, but with the tweaked engine.... hey presto 130bhp as standard!!
