was on my way home from a cruise last night when i got flashed by a speed camera.....

camera was on dual carriageway and i drive this road every day to uni. the camera faces into town and i was driving out of town.

ie i was driving home lol so i was approaching it at *cough* over 70mph i think *cough* and it flashed once as i approached it.....

the lines of course are on both sides of road but theres only one camera that in this instance was facing the other way....

so what causes the camera to flash??? i know i may have been going a little quick but the camera is one of those where u need to be driving past it where the white lines are for them to take a picture of ur car.

any ideas???

dont think ill get done for speeding as it only flashed once.. and it took a nice picture of an empty road but i was damn confused lol

anyone got any ideas??? and if i do get done the letter will come in post with 14days yeah?

I rekon your in the clear mate. I been done 3 times and all the times the camera has flashed twice. technically it has to with the lines on the road other wise they can't judge how fast you were going!!

yeah i think ill be fine - it only flashed once and i was on wrong side of road for it to measure my speed.

but wtf causes it to flash??? i was damn confused lol

Do the cams work on trafic lights like that? I went through an amber light at about 25 MPH the other day. What will hap?

They measure the air speed around the car by using some magical radar thingy. or summat.

They dont work when u drive into them i dont think. Ive been flashed b 4 and never heard anything.

Generaly when ur over the speed limit, thats when they flash.

I wasn't over the speed limit, i was just going too fast and went through the lights on amber. Those particular lights had a camera on so i'm a bit worried.
