Parked the car as i was going into work... pulled the key out and heard a click ive never heared before... Looked into my ignition barrel and there was a peice of metal that looks like its popped up and i couldnt insert my key back into the ignition barrel ! I thought WTF has happened here!

Got out of my car closed the door tried locking the car with the remote central locking.. that wasnt working at all
Had to lock the car by using the key went into work and phoned the AA.

1 Hour later the AA turn up (slow cuntz) the AA guy didnt have a clue he checked all the fuses in the fuse box all were fine.
He couldnt use his computer to check what was wrong with my car cause you need to have the car turned on to find this out and we couldnt insert the key ololololo he was laughing as he couldnt find nothing to do..
He phoned his help desk to help him out.. they told him to open my boot then try to insert the key... that didnt work... the help desk didnt have a clue aswell lol

In the end he had to reset my ECU but the peice of metal in the ignition barrel was still there....
I was so pissed off at this point ( AS i was losing money as i wasnt working ) i practically rammed the key into the igniton barrel and the metal peice poped back down
Started the car fine and now central locking and everything is working fine

could the reason your keyfob wouldnt lock the doors be that when you have your keys in the ignition on the corsa c, it wont let you lock/unlock your doors remotely? that piece of metal in the barrel mite have made the control module think there was a key in the ignition?

just a thought...
