OK, here we go.

Degree classifications are split into different catagories, like A,B,C,etc, but different. They are:
First Class Honours (1st)
Upper Second Class Honours (2:1)
Lower Second Class Honours (2:2)
Third Class Honours (3rd)
Pass Degree (NOT Honours) (Only in some cases will a pass degree be given)
Fail.

This is the structure for Aberdeen Uni, and most othere universities around the country. The pass degree I believe is left to the discresion of the University involved.
