Out fishing in kimmeridge and came accross an unexploded bomb.
Called it into the police, escorted him along the cliff path for several miles, he then bottled it and wouldnt climb down the cliff with me and called the coastguard to climb down (abseil) and view the device.

They took so long to sort themselves out that the tide flooded in really quickly and submerged the device so had to re-arrange the bomb squad to attend for late afternoon when they promptly below the thing up at 5pm during low water. Shame I missed that.

Coastguard thought it was likely a WW2 bomb.
Looking forward to getting back out there in the next fortnight and seeing what damage has been done to the ground with the explosion, will try and post a follow up pic.

Honestly I probably wouldn't have realised that was a bomb. Would have been intrigued as to what it was, so would have hit it hard with a rock to try and open it
