Does anyone call a J reg a J plate, or a 65 plate a 65 reg? Why has it changed?

Sometimes I refer to roads differently too.

Example

M twenty five changed to M two five. Same with buses too

Letter or number, I use plate after either.

I say J reg if it was registered between August 1991 and July 1992 and J plate if it wasn't but carries a J plate.

Never heard anybody before call the M25 m two five.

Just confuses people, makes me laugh

Why is liquid to cool engine down referred to as coolant, but the pump is not called a coolant pump, it's a water pump ?

And why do cars use Radiators to cool engines, when Radiators are used to heat houses?
