So after I finished the C..:

I needed something else to be at.. Ive allways wanted something with the C20XE in it and i knew of a real clean shell going for sale so a deal was struc.

Got it back to the shed,

Next on the list was the C20XE, driveshafts etc which i got from england

Then to strip everything down for painting.. The shell had allready had some paint to the engine bay and the rear inside as originally they were going for a stripped out rear and welded in a good rear strut bar.

I really like the colour Thurston Grey i think its called so it stayed.

Rear bean and all the stuff was sent for blasting and got a coat of black

Even sport poly bushed all the mounts when i was at it..

Decided to colour code the head and the painter had some nice red from a juke he painted lyin there so painted the coil cover in it.

Got some stainless bolts and mani cover and painted the block and maifold and put all together

Tool at the underside, dont have many pics but spend few good evenings with grinder and then waxoiled the whole underside and also painted the tank

So the shell then went off for paint

Picked up some real clean Cav Slabs from a fella in banbridge for good money and also a set of fixed buckets

I got the bonnet from the previous owner and they had all ready cut out the holes for the aero latches so they stayed

Got the car back and got the engine in.. late night that turned into

got a high flow aluminium rad and had to do a bit of cutting and manovuring to get it in

As the bulk head was trimmed down i relocated the battery behind the passengers seat with some nice red wire to match

I managed to pick up a GSI front bumber from the same chap i got the car off and i wanted to two tone the car to break it up so got some texture black from halfords and took at it. I think it looks good.

Built the front up again and the previous owner had cut the front panel out and was going to use a fibreglass panel.. he had sold it before i got the car so i want and got one off the net and didnt like it so i got some stainless bent and mounted it in place.

So some finished pics

So the car is a corsa b with a C20XE,
smooth bay with pipercross induction
polished header tank ,
4-2 manifold,
stainless 2.5 centre section to rear box out rolled tip,
equal shafts,
hubs machined out to take larger audi 80 bearing,
bigger front brakes with bias valve fitted internally,
upgraded bushes all round,
relocated battery,
fixed corbeau buckets,
power steering fitted,
vaux gte steering wheel,
removed steering column key cylinder and fitted with couple of kill switches.

Cheers lads..

I dont have any good pics at the min but ill try and get you some.. Heres a side on one that ive found..

It was just trimmed right down and tidied up..

I removed the heater matrix and just made a cover to go over the top of the hole.. wanna maybe get a nice piece of carbon for it.

Only other plans in the future is to maybe get a diff for it and possibly throttle bodies/ carbs.

But basically drive it all summer long.. Only got it out at the tail end of the summer this year due to work and getting it MOT'd.. but i love driving it.

Heres a few other pics i have

Cut out everything that wasn't needed like brackets and the bulkhead and also the fibreglass wheel arch panels, along with tucking wires as best I could..

Keeping everything black is great for hiding stuff you don't want to be seen
