Does anyone know the best and easiest way to go about finding the name of the owner/s on a property? I understand it may involve the land registry and obviously it will cost but not sure how to go about doing it?

The property in question doesn't actually complete until May sometime this year so also, what is the time scale from completion to appearing on the land registry does anyone know?

Any help and information appreciated. Thanks in advance

You can get the title register from here:

https://www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry

It's only £3 and it's available instantly.

Depending how quick registration is done post-completion, but some titles are amended within a few days.

I'd say check in 2 weeks after completion and it would most likely be done.

What you could do is sign up for the Land Registry alerts.
This basically is a free service where you can enter a title number (which you'd get when you search as mentioned by James). Put that in and you'll get an email when there is any activity on the title - be it a new charge added or new proprietors.
That would be the best way to get the amended copy the quickest after it's been updated by the land reg to any new owners.
