Was wondering if a 1.0 12v engine out of a 1999 corsa b would fit into a 2001 Corsa c?

Thanks

If the c is not a twinport yes but would need to use the manifolds from the c. Couple of other things but all stuff you can swap

As long at the current engine isn't a twin port but it shouldn't be I'm sure they changed to twin port around 2004

The head gasget has went in the Corsa C, so the car needs a new engine. Finding a 1.0 12v Corsa C engine is proving to be quite hard lol. Seems to be more 1.0 12v Corsa B engines about. Insurance, thats the only reason that I want another 1.0 12v. Cheap as chips.

internals will be the same, just the manifolds and engine control that changed.
you sure its head gasket and not timing cover gasket that's gone?

Sure it is any gasket? Mine had rancid mayo in the winter months but was fine.

The gasket mainly but their was something else my mechanic mentioned, the chain was mentioned aswell as a few other things, basically fixing it will cost more than the car is worth lol. Im just looking to stick in another engine and keep it another year and then get rid of it lol.

recently rebuilt a 1.2. head gasket, chain, sump off and flushed out bottom end, new lifters and complete service kit, less than £280. had head skimmed and pressure tested while it was off.
but if you have a spare engine from a B fit that but swap both manifolds and all sensors.
