Ok so 7 weeks ago I had an operation to have my ACL reconstructed, progress has been slow but I'm finally on my feet again. Catch Is that the doctor has now told me I need another 6 weeks off due to the gaft becoming its weakest at this point. I am all for doing thing's properly but I have been told that the useage of steroids will boost my recovery a lot quicker and I am able to obtain them. I know there's probable no doctors on here and it's some thing I'll have to ask my GP but what are your opinions and thoughts ?

I am only asking as I'm itching to get back to work, sports wise I know I am along way of but if any thing can help me I'll be more than happy to do it.

Why wouldn't you? They won't be the steroids that turn you into a beef cake.

Are they ones off your doc? Or some dodgy pingpong copies that big marv down the gym can get that he swears are the real deal?

Can you see where this is going....

I'd be doing what the doc says personally, if steroids were going to help would he not just prescribe some?

Doesn't seem a lot of point trying to shave a couple of weeks off and potentially putting yourself back where you were.

Would a doc put you on steroids to help you recover, and would it be the same kind people use at the gym?

Ive heard of them prescribing steroids to people with low testosterone, but arent there another kind to help heal wounds etc?

As above it's some thing I'm going to go back and find out, I'm mainly going to be asking, as my ligament will be at its weakest for the next 6 weeks yet I do not have an appointment with the surgeon for six months !! Surely I'd be seeing him again in two months to check it's still ok?

I'd be careful about just necking d-bols and anavar thinking it will heal you up quicker and not cause any side effects.

Even more so if your lifestyle is quite sedentary after becoming injured...
