I'd probably adjust that splitter before you drive at any speed.

Ano mate the natural shape of the bumpers pulling it up, need to put some sort of rubber splitter between it an the bumper, have you any reccomendations to the angle it should sit?

Use a pre 97 rubber splitter to space out the splitter closer to the ground. That's what I've used on mine
