Been in less than a week and it's stopped working BT said remove the faceplate and see whats up, none of these wires are connected - are they important?

Ah right, could it be old wiring then? Seems to be wiring on the right hand side which is connected. Technician coming out soon to fix it.

Sounds like you had a lazy engineer at your install. In that picture your extension isn't wired up.

Before Tuesday - think I agree though, he didn't even screw the faceplate onto the wall first time round

Yeah, everything was dead. Techie that came to fix it was nice enough and they got it sorted nice and quickly so no biggie

Also, the powerline adaptors seem to do the job too



Just need to tidy the wiring up a bit and my hallway will no longer be a mess.
