It's in a nova not sure if it's a Corsa engine though , any way of checking ?

The 14 SE is found in Corsa SRI as well

Doesnt matter if it's out of a nova or a corsa, it'll be a C14SE. Some came with a CR box but that might just of been the 1.6s out of the nova and not the astras.

Why are you asking? They're great engines imo and totally bullet proof with the few that i've had in the past.

The loom from a Corsa and a nova will be different though and there's a wiring fault on it I'm thinking it's a Corsa loom due to a few connectors not being connected I was just curious about the engine

could be either check near where the dipstick is on the block face where the head gasket is rub it clean it should tell you

Is this Sam's nova? I know she had a wiring issue when she first bought it but presumed it had been fixed. What's the actual fault? I'll have a nova sri loom somewhere if you need it, not sure if it's all intact though.

It keeps randomly cutting out , I can't trace the fault :/ think I'm gonna have a proper look at it at weekend see if I can spot anything obvious

Ah yeah i remember her telling me that was the fault. Cant believe you havnt sorted it by now lol. My old corsa used to cut out all the time but that was because it had no speedo. Put a thread in the help zone and im sure there'll be a few people with similar problems, i remember back in the day reading about something similar and it would probably be an easy fix.
