Where has this year gone?

Right, after the monumental cock up that the Phantom Winger staff call service, we're changing pubs for this one so, here's the new script;

The Meeting Place

It will be held on Sunday 21st October. Meeting at the pub at 5:30 for food, drink and banter then leaving for the Illuminations at 7:30 so if you intend on eating at the pub, please bear this in mind and arrive in good time

Lets make this another big meet and please no-one bring a football this year as I like my jeans in a hole free state

Ian and I have already been once We went with our kid and the MR2 owners club on the 8th. We're both down in MK for the big meet there on the 28th so a 3rd run with your lot is out.

Are we going south to north or other way around on the illuminations. The traffic near south shore is always terrible. Takes an hour just to get onto the prom. I find going north to south is much better

South to North. There's little fun to be had in just driving straight through, when your stuck in traffic, it keeps everyone close together so passengers can wonder about and share banter with drivers who might not have any passengers, anyone with a camera has chance to get some good pictures.

When Ian and I went the other week, we drove straight through with very little traffic and the only thing that made it fun was listening to a few members having banter over 2-way radios, for the people that didn't have radios it must've been a bit boring.
