So in the past 6 months I've been rubbish at coming on here and attending shows, rubbish at my duties as an organiser..

All for the fact I hated my car cos it broke as per normal lol

So in the last 6 months I never bothered trying to sort it.. Gutted now though cos the cause of the redtop failing to start is only down to the lug being snapped off on the bottom timing pulley.. I'm a lazy twat haha


So main reason for the thread.. Anyone know of some descent sites/shops I could get one of these as trolled the Internet and can't find anything :-/

Did it snap while the car was running or trying to start etc??

Pretty sure Generation on here has just had this happen to him and its done all 16 valves.

Not while running.. When I started it! Basically was running like a dream on the Saturday night then didn't go start it untill the Sunday evening to go to a friends and just didn't start!

So I'm hoping it hadn't done any valves?!

Mine happened while running and it wasn't cheap:/

AFAIK, the woodruff keys aren't sold by themselves anymore and a whole pulley need to be bough(good results few days ago)

Yea I didn't think it would be cheap if happened while running.. But mine was definitely not running as was a good 16 hours since had be running when I tried started it lol. And as I said was running like a dream previously!
Yea I didn't think they were.. My friends getting it trade and putting on his works account anyway :-)

It will more than likely have happened while trying to start it though, or at least while the engine has been moving/trying to move, while there has been some sort of force on the woodruff key.
