Hello.
The time has come to sell my Golf.
Its a 2002, GTI 1.8 Turbo.
The car is a fairly clean example, inside and out, and is mechanically sound.
MOT'd Until March 2013 (Just passed an MOT today)
TAX is up at the end of March.
The car has comprehensive service history, mostly by Arnold Clark VW in Glasgow, service book is stamped up to 90k.
I have owned the car since September, and in that time have covered around 1200 miles in it.
Since owning the car i have carried out the following work -
Timing belt kit & water pump were replaced in February of this year, i have the reciept for the work carried out.
Serviced about 400 miles ago (VAG Parts used, Oil Filter & Cabin filter were replaced, Mobil 1 oil was used)
Air Conditioning has been regassed & is ice cold.
The car has some subtle modifications/upgrades -
Eibach rear camber shims fitted (-1 degree)
10mm Rear Spacers
The car also came with FK coilovers, which i have stripped down, cleaned up, re adjusted & greased them up so they will be easily adjustable.
I have set the coilovers at a reasonable height to suit day to day driving.
The original dumpvalve has been replaced with a Forge 007 re-circ valve, this is the correct dump valve to suit the car and does not bring on any fault codes.
The car has never wanted for anything and has always been looked after regardless of cost.
There are a few minor bad points -
Airbag light on (MOT advisory) - It is faulty because it was incorrectly accessed by VagCom, There are companys on eBay who reset the computer for £30
Small chip on the passengers wing, about the size of a 5p piece.
VW badge missing from the tailgate
Bonnet has some minor stonechipping.
The alloys have some bubbling and could benefit from a refurb.
CD player not included (It was a gift)
