my car is in the garage getting the engine changed to another 1 litre but they have just phoned saying it wont start up and dont know why does any one have any suggestons??

All. That has changed is the engine block

they engine will start if they spray easy start into it but there is no electric going to the fuel pump but the fuel pump works if you put a wire straight from the battery

dodgy wire to the pump or maybe a relay? im not too sure but thats what id guess like mate

is eml flashing this would stop the fuel pump

the eml light doesnt work the kind owners before disconected it haha and the garage are saying i need to get the chip and transponder from the car i got the engine yet all that was changed is the engine block so do i need that or not

is the ecu earthed? there shud be a wire with a eye connector on, close to the where the ecu sits on the engine, it needs to be bolted on to the ecu.

no you dont need to get the chip and transponder

ermm am not sure its earthed its in the garge as they are changing egine but cant figure out whats wrong

ask them 2check the earth on the ecu. or get it trailored 2me

the car is in cg autos in dunston right next to the jet garage if you know where that is

well they have done all minor work on my cars e.g fuel filter wheel bearings run a diagnostic all on the cheap and got the car back with in a couple hours but a gave them the job of swapping a engine and it taking them since tuesday lol

yeah got it back at 12: 00 today the problem was a wire had snapped which went to the crank sensor
